David Caruso - One moment in time

We thought they would show HoCaine fall to the ground/being hit by the bullet in slow motion - something more ambitious then we actually were shown. I am surprised they didn't film his shooting in Matrix bullet time format....
They say they used a stunt double because Caruso's knees couldn't take the fall on the concrete floor (like shown in the previews).
Is Caruso getting too old for the business?
